Unlike existing solutions such as 2D-barcode or image matching, Xsights' unique and protected technology enables to convert any item in print, even a single word or a photo, into an interactive multimedia experience. Xsights is the only company Capable of linking text and images to web content (in what we call "Printed Hyperlinks"). Xsights is also capable of linking printed maps to GPS and web without necessarily having an application on the phone.
Xsights' solution enables therefore publishers of any printed matter (e.g., newspapers, magazines, books, maps, wall posters, brochures etc') to transform their printed material to an interactive multimedia experience for the users, thus turning the printed page into a portable and convenient source of information while on the go.

Xsights leverages its exclusive license from Rafael, including Rafael’s computer-vision and aerospace technology – representing literally hundreds of man years' development activity, real-life experience and expertise - to produce an innovative, robust image & text understanding algorithms which are impervious to blurriness, occlusions and problematic lighting, working in a real uncontrolled environment. The specific applications and implementation are protected by several additional Xsights patent applications.
The user who wants to receive dynamic content (be it price comparison, coupons or other perks and benefits, getting instant information or directions, watch movie trailers etc') will find it easy and user friendly. He or she will only need to make a local video call, use Xsights' application or send a MMS (all depends on the user’s mobile device) to the predetermined short-code number and aim their handset’s camera phone at the printed Hyperlink, embedded in a magazine, wall poster, DVD cover, brochure, etc'. The printed Hyperlink itself can be an Icon, a picture, a title, an ad or even a single word in the text. Once the user's camera phone is aimed at it, Xsights' server receives the captured images, analyzes them and responds with the appropriate interactive multimedia experience offering a menu of choices for the user to select from. This increases advertising recall rates, brand interest, and loyalty.
