Arnon Rotem Gal-Oz – VP R&D
Arnon Rotem Gal-Oz has more than 19 years of experience managing, architecting and building large scale, mission critical, distributed systems. Before joining Xsights, Arnon was the Biometrics Development Manager at Rafael. Prior to that, he worked in various technical and managerial roles in large corporations including Microsoft, Amdocs and Matrix.
Arnon published articles for various online and printed journals such as InfoQ, Dr. Dobb's and MSDN. He authors the Dr. Dobb's Journal blog on Architecture & Design and he also authors an SOA Patterns book for Manning Publications. Mr. Rotem Gal-Oz has an MSc in Information technology from Clark University and a CS BA from the Open University.
Efrat Rotem – VP Algorithms
Efrat Rotem has 20 years of experience in computer vision and image processing. She was the head of computer vision department at RAFAEL, leading a group of dozens of researchers and engineers developing cutting-edge products for aerospace & defense market.
As a senior researcher she initiated and developed algorithms that became stone-corner to computer vision based systems and led the '3D' knowledge center. She has a granted patent on stereoscopic vision and 4 more patents pending.
Efrat received her BSc and MSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology as well as MBA from Tel-Aviv University.
Professor Miki Elad - Chief Technology Officer
Professor Elad is the Chief Technology Officer. He is a world-renowned expert researcher on image processing, computer vision, and pattern recognition topics. He has more than 100 scientific publications and more than 10 patents. Prof. Elad is a graduate of the Technion (BSc. 1986; MSc. 1988; and Ph.D. 1997). He is currently an associate professor in the computer-science department at the Technion, and has held this faculty position since 2003. Before taking an academic position, Miki Elad worked for Hewlett Packard laboratories Israel from 1997-2000, and during 2000-2001 he headed the research division of Jigami, Israel.
Hezi Nahum, CEO
Hezi Nahum joined XSIGHTS in March 2010 as CEO Before joining XSIGHTS he server 4 years as VP Business development of RDC. Before joining RDC, Hezi served for 10 years as senior Business Development & Marketing manager for the Intelligence, Command & Control and Homeland Security Systems at Rafael. During that period, he received the Rafael Marketing Excellency Award for successfully leading a unique strategic marketing effort.
Mr. Nahum was formerly commander of the Intelligence & Early warning Center in Unit 8200, the central Signal Intelligence unit in the IDF, where he gained an extensive experience in the fields of communications, data mining, and IT.
Mr. Nahum holds a BA (History and Arabic) and an MA (in History - Summa Cum Laude) from Tel Aviv University, Israel, and is a graduate of the special program for Senior Business Management at the Technion and Tel Aviv University.M
