Xsights Launches Application for BlackBerry

Xsights App is no longer exclusive to iPhones – now available for BlackBerry Bold & Curve

Tel-Aviv, Israel – November 17, 2009 Xsights, a recent start-up company, enables its users to bring print to life. Xsights makes it possible to transform static, printed items that can be captured through the cell phone's camera into an interactive multimedia experience.

"See it. Capture it. Bring it to life!" is Xsights’ slogan. The Xsights solution enables users to take a picture of any pre-defined object and receive immediate relevant and interactive online data. Clicking on the item with their mobile phone's camera will allow users to receive additional layers of information and open up doors to endless interactive content.

Last month, Xsights launched Xsights Light Application exclusively for iPhones, where users downloaded the free app from the iTunes Apple Store here: http://appsto.re/xsightslight. Today, Xsights launches Xsights Light App for Blackberry (BlackBerry Bold & BlackBerry Curve). Xsights – Use Your Cellphone To Turn Static Items Into Interactive Experiences

Xsights is an Israeli startup that develops interesting technology that allows for transformation of static objects like billboards, posters, printed images and more into interactive multimedia experiences using your cellphone camera. Theoretically, you could use Xsights to dynamically obtain more information based on e.g. words from a newspaper article, a landmark, a photo of an actor on a movie poster, a street sign, etc.

Xsights Re-launches their Website

Xsights announced the re-launch of their corporate website today. The new site www.xsights.com appears with a fresh design and provides extensive new features, videos and functions for users and clients.

The site allows the user to actually try the service first as a demo simulation and then as the real thing.

Xsights is a finalist of the GSMA Mobile Innovation Grand Prix

XSights was chosen as one of the ten finalists for the GSMA Mobile Innovation Grand Prix in Israel.

This year’s GSMA Mobile Innovation Grand Prix-Israel will be held in cooperation with Carmel Ventures as part of Ernst and Young’s Journey 2009 event in Hilton Tel Aviv on 15 September 2009 (http://www.journey.co.il).

The GSMA Global Mobile Awards are the premier showcase of product, service and creative excellence for the mobile industry. As a category of the Global Mobile Awards, the Mobile Innovation 'Grand Prix' is a tournament-style competition across 4 regional events culminating at the 2010 GSMA Mobile World Congress.

Two finalists from the ISRAEL Tournament will be selected and announced during the event and will win trips to the 2010 GSMA Mobile World Congress in February to compete in the Global Mobile Awards - Mobile Innovation Grand Prix championship.
